6 Travel Tips for Rajasthan First Time Visitor
Rajasthan is the land of colors,
beautiful traditions. It is a popular travel destination for tourists in India
as it is part of the Golden Triangle with lots of heritage and culture. This is
the main reason I haven't been there for the past few days.Rajasthan Tour Packages offer you a variety of
packages, so that you can choose according to your interest.
Rajasthan was on my travel
bucket list for quite a while, and then I was able to complete the entire tour
of the amazing city this year. The journey through Rajasthan was a wonderful
experience, and I did the same on the road with friends and family. Based on
this following 10 travel guidelines to consider before you are planning to
explore Rajasthan Tourism.
1) Duration of Stay
Rajasthan is known as the
biggest state in India. There are at most four important cities worth visiting
in Rajasthan which include Jaipur,
Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. You should consider staying for at least
two nights in these cities since the city demands the same amount of time to
explore the city. If you're planning a trip to these cities, consider adding an
extra day as there are some places along the way you should visit.
Jaisalmer is the place which is
farthest from the other cities. It takes approximately 10-hours away from Jaipur or 5 in Jodhpurand nine hours on the Udaipur
By highway to get to Jaisalmer. Therefore, you should consider the distance
if you plan to stay in Jaisalmer. Check out my suggestions for routes to
Rajasthan below.
2) Places to Stay
The cities listed above
offer a variety of hotels to fit every budget. There are luxury chains such as Taj and Taj Mahal, particularly within Udaipur as well as Jodhpuras; they are historical properties, palaces that have been
converted into hotels. Alternatively, you can choose small Havelis converted into hotels and home-stays to enjoy a relaxing
and economical stay.
3.) Road Trip Vs. Other
alternatives
If you are short on
time and you're interested in spending longer in a city, I suggest Railways for
point-to-point connection. My personal most preferred way to explore is to take
a trip on the road. When you travel in Rajasthan,
you will see a few tiny towns in the process, and this makes your trip more
vibrant and enjoyable.
4.) Local
transportation
There are a variety of
alternatives for local transportation ranging from taxisto battery-powered autos as well as regular auto-rickshaws,
taxis and tourist buses. There aren't any fixed prices for these vehicles.
Certain of them provide the option of a point-to-point drop, while there are
others that offer an entire day-long package in which they transfer you from
one tourist location to the next. To get the most affordable rates, look up the
hotels you stay at as they will offer a great idea of prices in the city from
that location.
5) Where to eat in
Rajasthan?
No matter if you're
traveling by road or in your city limits, Rajasthan has plenty of food options
available. The Rajasthani food is unique and definitely worth trying. In
addition to the traditional cuisine which is easily available, there are many
restaurants serving different Indian dishes too - Gujarati, South Indian etc.
6) Sightseeing at Forts
and Museums
Rajasthan Rajasthan is extremely
rich in historical aspects. Each town and city has a long history and amazing
architecture , in the form of palaces and forts. Many of these are
well-maintained, and welcoming to tourists with adequate signs and audio guides
that provide a tour of the rich history and culture of the place. The museums
are well cataloged and are enjoyable to explore.
